How MetaMask Card works
You choose a funding wallet and token in MetaMask and set a spending allowance. When you pay, the card pulls exactly the amount needed from your wallet and converts it at checkout. Nothing is preloaded.
The card is issued by Monavate with Baanx as provider, on the Mastercard network. It works with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
MetaMask launched the card across the U.S. in February 2026, including New York, alongside a $199/year Metal tier. New U.S. sign-ups were temporarily paused in June 2026; existing cardholders are not affected.
