What Securitize does
Securitize builds the plumbing that lets asset managers issue funds, bonds and other assets as tokens on public blockchains. It acts as transfer agent and fund administrator, runs a regulated platform where eligible investors buy and trade tokenized assets, and supports more than 15 chains.
Its best-known product is BlackRock's USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), a tokenized money market fund backed by short-term Treasuries. BUIDL is used as reserve and collateral asset in crypto markets, including as yield-bearing collateral on OKX with Standard Chartered as custodian.
Results and listing
Securitize went public through a merger with Cantor Equity Partners II and began trading on the NYSE on July 2, 2026. In the second quarter of 2026 it reported revenue of $14.4 million, a net loss of $21.7 million, average tokenized AUM of $4.3 billion (+16%) and transaction volume of $5.3 billion (+147%). The stock fell about 20% after those results.
Why it matters for stablecoins
Tokenized Treasury funds like BUIDL are the yield-bearing cousin of stablecoins: they hold the same short-term Treasuries but pass the interest to holders. Stablecoin issuers and protocols use them in reserves; Ethena allocated $250 million of USDe backing to a Securitize fund. See stablecoin yield and how to invest in stablecoins.
